Hi, my name is Chris Ott and I am a freelance musician in NYC. Over the past eight years I've been performing, arranging, and recording horns for pop, jazz, funk, rock, and soul musicians. Credits include work with Ricky Martin, Allen Stone, Umphrey's McGee, O.A.R. and my own projects, Huntertones, and Shag Horns. I've written over 200 arrangements for horn sections, brass bands, big bands, marching bands, and pop cover bands. You can hear my composition and arranging work on Huntertones three studio albums and on my solo album, The 60s Project. My compositions have also been featured on NPR's morning edition and have garnered awards from ASCAP. Besides trombone, I specialize in beatboxing, looping, conch shells, baritone, toy trumpets, whistling, and a host of other toy instruments. My "Toy Trumpet Virtuoso" video has received millions of views all over the internet.
Chris is an endorsing artist for Conn-Selmer (King Trombones) and Warburton mouthpieces.

The 60s Project is my debut recording as a solo artist and features songs from the 60s reimagined into high energy, horn-driven, instrumentals. This record was recorded all remotely during the health pandemic in 2020 and showcases 30 talented musicians from NYC, Ohio, DC, and Texas.
